Beauty: Hyaluronic Acid Serum

Somewhere in my thirties I started to get really interested in what I could do to best care for my skin and slow the aging process, now that I’m in my forties it’s become even more important to me to take care of both my skin and body. Lifestyle and nutrition play a huge role in how our bodies and our skin age; but there are things we can do to slow the aging of our skin,  repair sun damage, and improve our overall appearance.

Let me introduce you to one of my favorite skin care products; Hyaluronic Acid Serum.  I can’t even tell you how much I love this product! It’s truly amazing! The serum is chock full of awesomeness containing 20% Vitamin C, 11% hyaluronic acid and organic aloe. It’s one of the top vitamin C anti wrinkle facial serums available. I’ve been using the serum for about a month now and have noticed a dramatic improvement in the texture and evenness of my skin; and my pores seem much smaller, too. I apply a few drops of the serum after cleaning my face and neck, allow to dry, then add a small amount of moisturizing lotion over the top of the serum. On the days that I wear make up, I  follow the lotion with just a little bit of  liquid foundation make up, which goes on much smoother with the serum compared to before I was using it, and set it with a little powder.  The best thing about this serum is the price. It’s only $21.95; a 77% savings. This is definitely a situation of getting a fantastic product at a great price! (click image for more information and to purchase through Amazon. Naturally found in the body, hyaluronic acid secures moisture and creates fullness—youthful skin naturally abounds with hyaluronic acid. As we age, skin moisture can drop significantly, which makes the skin lose elasticity and expose the signs of aging on the skin. Hyaluronic acid plays a critical role in skin health. Hyaluronic acid is also a “smart nutrient” as it can adjust its moisture absorption rate based on the humidity—relative to the season and the climate.

One of the most skin damaging elements are UVB rays from the sun. Hyaluronic acid benefits the skin as it protects the skin from UVB rays (and the scavenging reactive oxygen species they generate), which can cause sunspots.

I also include the following products as part of my daily health/skin care regimen. (More on these supplements in another post)
